Default Making of a Rose

well to start off here we will go out to the scrap pile and select some fine scrap ....we need enough sheet (22 or 24 ga) to make
"1"square at 3 1/2
"3"square at 4 1/2
"2" square at 5 1/2
and about 12" of 1/4" rod and 12" of 3/16 rod
and refreshments

ok now take all squares EXCEPT FOR ONE OF THE 4 1/2 and lay out your petals and cut them out with the remaining 4 1/2 you will make and cut out a star....after you got everything cut and cleaned up drill a 1/4" hole on center....the pieces that come off the star square you can make your leaves out of

now grab your 1/4 rod and we are going to texture it ....oh hell well are going to beat the $hit out of it to give it a natural look....do the same with the star if you fine a rough surface it works better

now we need to "cup" the petals ....good size washer and a ball peen works good here ....when all done you parts should look like the last pic and we are ready to start to put this thing together

grab your 1/4" rod (not the one god gave you, the one that came out of scrap pile) and clamp it up in the vice and silver solder or braze star on it ....then put petals on and drive them down with a pipe nipple and mushroom over the stem to make everything together

truth be known i had a double ******* ale before i started this ....have to check everything tomorow morning cuz i'm pretty wasted right now
