Talking I'm a Cheap Skate LOL

I am a cheap skate about buying something I can make. A friend gave me a couple of heavy fabricated angle plates. I drilled and tapped them full of 3/8 threaded holes in the bridgeport and then during a real slow time, I made my own Indexer to bolt to them.

I saw a need for a dividing head one winter, SO, I adapted the indexer to be used as a dividing head. I did borrow a friend indexer to drill my own plates.

I love making tools.

You will notice a steady rest in the picture, I have a set of blocks on my mill the same height as the bottom of my vice that I bolt the steady rest to when I have to work on a shaft that is longer than my table and use an old 6 inch lathe chuck on the headstock.

irnsrgn, it must be darn near impossible to fill all those tiny holes/imperfections back up.

That looks to be time consuming work.

Well done.

God, if you would grant me one request through Prayer, please help me be the Man my Dog thinks I am. Please.

Quoting "The Hunt". "A man will walk into hell with both eyes and arms wide open. His dog will know better."

I never thought I'd live long enough to become a grumpy old bastard. Here I am, killing it!
