Default Shovel rack for my truck

Thought I was done with truck related projects for awhile after the headache rack, but I came up with this idea to get rid of some of the clutter in the bed and it only took about an hour.
Truck is pretty much a mess, have an hour and a half drive to work so I carry more tools than usual and have less patience than usual for stuffing the toolbox before I head home.
Decided it was time to just have shovels for the truck and quit messing around with trying to grab one out of the barn on days I might need it. Some scrap angle iron and pipe and here's what I came up with. I'll pull it off and paint it sometime soon. It was late and snowing when I finished it, so I left it on.

That is a good idea Matt. I throw mine every which way and then usually have to fight to get them out. What type of mounting hardware did you use?

Nice job on the radius' on the angle iron. I make all my pipe hangers/stands with a radius on them. It takes little time and makes a nice product. Good use of space as well.

Thanks everybody

Mike
The top is bolted to the stake pocket using a 5/16-18 rivet nut. Its a blind fastener so I didn't have to mess with taking the bull ring out and trying to fish a nut down inside. The bottom of the angle is bent to match the curve of the wheel well and I just drilled through the wheel well and ran a 5/16 bolt up from underneath and used a lock washer. Probably would have just used another rivet nut but I only had one left.

Have at it, but if you strike it rich selling them you have to powder coat mine

Thats for friday night inventory. Clear the cab out so there's room for the girlfriend and cram the toolbox back full. Truck will be presentable until about 8AM on monday
