Default Quick Change Post Question

I have a quick change tool post that came with the the 12" Sears lathe but with only one tool holder. Theses numbers 250-101 are stamped on the holder.

I'm wondering if these tool holders will fit my tool post. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...3AIT&viewitem=.

I did email the seller but he doesn't know. Any help greatly appreicated.

100 = AXA = 9" to 12" swing

200 = BXA = 10" - 15"

300 = CXA = 13" - 18"

The eBay items don't use standard nomenclature, but there is a diagram showing decimal dimensions. You should be able to see if the holders will work on your QCTP.

If you look closely at the pictures in the link there is a tool holder, stamped 250-101.
E-mail them for more information.

There are 6 different toolholders that fit that toolpost. It is a very good tool holder and common.

Jerry,

The Chinese clone manufacturers offer about 6 different toolholders, Dorian and Aloris offer well over 30 different ones, in each size from AXA to DXA. Take a look at the Aloris catalog, download on homepage
