Angry 3" Husky cutoff wheel review

Normally, I would never buy Husky brand grinding wheels, but I ran out this weekend and HD was the only one open. I had just put a new 3" x 1/16" wheel on the grinder and was cleaning up the edges on some small pieces of steel. The nut was not over tightened The photos below tell the rest of the story.

Anyone need four new 3" grinding wheels?

You were cutting or grinding with them.....if grinding then a no s&%t is in order if cutting then I'd take them back and wear an eye patch just to mess with them......I have had good service from the C.H.'s @ wally world...also I get them from time to time @ Big lots for 10 cents each.....

(was cleaning up some small pieces of steel)

That statement says it all! Those are cutoff wheels, to be used on edge only.

Yikes, I meant to say cut off wheels.

Yes, I was using the outside edge of the wheel, not pressing on the face.

Good to hear......I'd inspect the others for cracks as they could have been smashed and if they looked good I'd try another if the same results I'd return them and call customer service....you didn't get it pinched when cutting with it did you?
