Default Husky Jump Starter System HSK037HD Review

About a year ago I needed a jump box for field service work on equipment. I did some research and found this unit at HD. There are several features that I've found to be very helpful. The unit has a 260 psi compressor, a 400 watt inverter, and 450 amp jump start capabilities just to mention the major ones. I've inflated rear tractor tires after installing tubes and also used it to power several types of power tools. I am really impressed with this system. Usually I shy away from the do-it-all type devices but this is certainly a exception I am glad I made.
It has several features that I feel would benifit those who aren't as familiar with mechanical devices. There is a switch that turns the power on for jump starting a vehicle after you connect the cables which is important with todays highly electronic controlled vehicles. Along with this switch it also has a red polarity light and audio sound when the connections are made incorrectly. There have been several situations when I have made this mistake when working on equipment that someone used the same color for both battery cables.

In my opinion I believe this is worth consideration for purchase if you are in the need.

Tommy, since we first discussed these units, the one Moe has as well, I've looked at all of the box stores from Lafayette to Lake Charles, with no luck.

I did find the little B&D compressor only package in the 'For Dad, for Xmas' areas, but that was it.

I'll check the link and go from there.
Thanks for that link btw.
edit: After checking the link, the site says out of stock. Figures. You'd better hold onto yours Tommy, they seem to be in short supply. Husky does not show them as being available any longer and any stock that might be had would be a crap shoot to find. But I'm still looking.

LW I don't believe it is discontinued just out of stock for now. Of course if you were looking for a christmas gift I didn't help much. The weight would make it to expensive for shipping from ATL. I should have created this review in September but then I didn't have my title.
