Default Pipe Cutting Made Easy

At least it LOOKED easy.

Jim-TX was kind enough to meet me in Abilene today and I followed him out to his shop. He showed me how he cuts copes in pipe. Boy did he make it look easy.

At least now I have a method to try.

To avoid madam x putting us in a corner, I took some pictures on but only had my cell phone. Sorry for the bad quality of the pics. I forgot my camera.

Thanks to Jim for taking the time and making the effort to show a fellow SFT'er some methods.

I really appreciated it and I enjoyed visiting with Jim.

Bruce, lessons learned in such a way is by no means to be taken lightly. So few folk take or have the time to help/show another the fine points of a craft.

BTW, about the blurry pic, I too get nervous in the presence of greatness.

Here, I ran the fuzzy pic through some image fixup software.

If I send you a photo, can you make me look like Brad Pitt?

Yep, not only did he give up his morning to show me a few methods to use, he gave up his coffee time with his friends, drove across town to meet me by the hospital, then drove all the way back across town to take me to his shop to assure that I would not get lost. ( I had told him I was directionaly challenged)

Not everyone is as generous as that.

I really enjoyed the conversation with him too.

An all around good guy.

No, but I can get a nice James Bond picture if you like. Bond. James Bond.

How about John Wayne for me. I got the weight and the hat, just need to be about 6" taller.

I was happy to be able to meet a fellow SFT member in person. Bruce is a really nice guy and I'm glad that I was able to show him what I could.
