Default Question For STW

I'm wondering about hedging my Bet a little bit on the transmission for Josh's Pathfinder. What is your opinion on Friction Modifier additive packages for the lube in his transmission when we re-install it in case we missed another bearing that is not entirely compromised?

No. No. No.

Those are for limited slip differentials.

Sorry did not have time last night and wanted to get you an answer quick.

Friction modifiers allow the clutches in a LSD to lock up when the relative speed
between the plates are low enough. So it reality they increase the apparent
friction. They are also designed to work in EP gear oils.

Also not sure what oil is specified in your transmission. So I would not recommend changing from the specification that is written.
