I have one 'back stop' setup at the farm. 8 rail ties standing on end backed by 2 7/8" pipe sunk into the ground holding the ties up and in place. This is back covered by a berm of dirt. It only gets used for bangers and less likely to see pellets or big bore bullets.

I have tried the self setting targets that walk as they get shot, but got away from using steel plates due to not wanting to waste good use steel for the shop. Being the cheap bastard that I am................

But, I do miss the PING. lol
