I agree with Jack, it takes a very special type of patience to deal with the general public on the internet.

I won't use da bay anymore (one identity theft was enough) and the few race parts and speciality items I move on CL are tended by a good friend and advanced geek, for a cut, just to keep my blood pressure in check.

All my adds specify "local pickup only" I was constantly getting calls and E-mail's from over a hundred miles away, offering less than half the asking price, if I would pay shipping...

I used to answer them with a form letter that suggested they learn to read, and Oh, by the way, FOAD. Now I don't even do that. CL suggested that I be nicer to the customer, Fat chance .(My Geek buddy certainly earns his cut.)

If you can get more, i would be interested in a piece or two. I machine window glides for scouts out of it, but the price has gotten ridiculous, so I don't do too many of them. I do it for the cost of materials to my IH Scout club members just to keep them going, and to pay back for the help I have gotten.
It is also nice to have some around for chain guides, on the bottom of crap you slide around the shop, etc, so it is nice to have a piece around the shop, especially it it was cheap.

I've purchased surplus material from members in good standing at Practical Machinist. Machinists there are always buying, selling and re-purposing material.
