It's bringing $12 a hundred around here.... Figures... I gave away 4-5 vehicles when it was $3.50

I just couldn't work at a scrap yard...MY pile would be larger than the bosses....... They could be making far more money if they sorted things out...

bought some AR400 drops last evening (28"x 10') for .35/lb. Still doing my happy dance this morning.

It has been more than a few months since any one posted any reports on scrap metal sales and purchases.

What is the current market on scrap metal??

I just bought steel for .20/lb, copper wire for $2.00/lb and copper sheet for $4.00/lb. I was lucky to find a sheet of copper 3ftx 15ft x .040". Snapped it up for 84 dollars.

Friday central mo. 180 a ton steel 190 if one of the high producers.Yep local yard pays more to those over a ton a week for months.
