Default ever wonder how an Oxygen Cylinder is made?

surfing thru Youtube.com, I saw this video. It shows how they make high pressure gas cylinders. Pretty cool. I think this Internet thing just might catch on. lol

Some of the bigger, thicker ones go through several stages in horizontal drawing dies while still red hot.

I was just wondering what kind of pressure is use to form the bigger tanks like the 122 cuft. OX. tank I have.

I wished they would form sort of a handle on the tank. I have thought about making two bands that would bolt around the tank, the two bands would be connected with a piece of pipe or steel of some configuration that would work as a handle. It would not be a permanent change nor would it hurt the integrity of the tank.

Charlie,

Some variation on a pair of saddle clamps world work. Better might be something like a toggle clamp bracket as is used to mount a fire extinguisher.

"How It's Made" and "Dirty Jobs" are some of the best that TV has to offer.

Charlie, I welded a u-bolt to a cap. I just screw it on the bottle and handle it with my winch truck. I pick one up at the hospital about once a month and take one back. Besides this bottle I use 12 small ones a week but, I just stop by and they put them in a carrier on the pickup and they stay there as I use them.
