Last week was -44 with the wind chill, and I work outside!
With 6 degrees to go lower for mandatory shut down, the work cycles in the elements get short!

Joey, I like your welding cable extentions.

The best stories sometimes take a while.

I hope you can film your life as it really is without a load of that “for TV drama” the city folk seem to thrive one.

rustythe4x4 -- this morning it is -40c and feels like -40c and no wind. the booster cables ave been used lots of the years because the little buzz box on the work bench never came with long cables for some reason.

SmokinDodge -- yes we have creative control and it will not be a drama show like IRT is, this is just us living a normal life freezing our ass off, lol

Here in Tidewater, Virginia, we're having SNOWMAGEDDON today ... a whopping 8-12" of snow.

BFD, I know, right? Yet even with that, it'll be a week before we get a plow through on the road out front (supposed to remain below freezing for several days) and 10 days or more before we get mail again.

You'd think the world had come to an end, to listen to the locals. Good thing nothing important happens here.

Joey, you can save a few keystrokes. -40°C = -40°F either way that is damn cold.

Joey, an idea I used on my Michigan end loader with a 353 Detroit diesel. I drilled and tapped the air housing for a small ball valve. Real easy to open and spray the either in. It looks like you have a screw that you take out to spray in. I can see that being dropped in the cold weather with gloves on.

Yup, I'll wager if you take a 23-30 Yo college campus greenie, and tell
them that this weather is a direct result of Trumps removal of the US
from the Paris accord (and do it with a straight face) you'll be able
to set that hook.

These idjits also think that turning out all the lights on "Green Day" will
help.

The major disruption to the grid by the large load loss, cause's the base load
powerplants to just dump steam, firing at the same rate, just wasting fuel.

And when they turn it all back on 1 hour later, the surge load is off the charts.

thansk guys, in canada the wind makes things colder so all weather report state the base temp then says "but feels like" minus a colder temp. when we get to -40c there is not much wind so it is just a cold temp. at the frst of the week we had -39c as a base temp but feels like -53c, now that was cold and hard to breath too.
