Roger that. I would not have purchased it before posting here anyway. Its like the drill press I just bought. I wanted it but I posted it first.

Thanks for the warning!

In New England, the phrase is: "Tight as a bull's ass at fly time".

So tight you couldn't drive a 16 penny nail up his ass with a sledge hammer.

I have an uncle who was known to be a tightwad, even though he made good money. Someone said he's squeeze a penny until it screamed. Got to the point where all the cousins (kids) referred to him as "Uncle Squeeze".

Default How tight was he?

Tight as a duck's ass, and that's watertight.

Or a crab's ass...

PS: +1 on Gimpy's comment. Save your money for the 7x12. You'll see 'em well-used for $250 or so, maybe a bit more if the lube is working and it is in newer condition. The lube extends blade life a great deal!

Growing up on the farm, dad never spent money he didn't "have" to. So, no toys at Xmas, clothes were ok.

He would buy old worn out farm equipment & rebuild it for about half or less of the cost of newer equipment. Although he did buy several tractors & combines, 1 new pickup.

He was know as "Bob, so tight he squeaks when he walks". My girlfriend has started calling me Bob too.......

Wonder why?
