You mentioned AC/DC stick and shielded wire. Does he want a multi-process welder? I'm not sure if any of the Millers have AC. I would think separate stick and MIG machines may be less costly.

Call Paramount Supply in Amarillo at 372-2355. They are not Paramount anymore but maybe Airgas or Praxair but that does not matter much as the number is still the same.

I have bought two new welders and one plasma cutter in my life and all three were from them.

I shopped till I was blue in the face for my bobcat. Best price I could find was around $2700 with free shipping. Called them and without them even knowing me they quoted me around $2200 plus tax (8 1/4%). Needless to say I kept my money here in town that day.

Same story on my baby mig and my plasma.

When you call a lady will answer the phone and tell her you need a salesman. When he answers tell him what you need a price on and see if it doesn't beat everyone else. After the price is quoted ask him how much to deliver to Spearman. Bet you a dollar if you let him pick the day he won't charge you a thing because of how much money you (Wilson) is fixing to drop in there. They run trucks up there probably weekly so if you let it come on the normal truck everybody wins.

My two cents.

I will let the others pick the equipment.

They deliver bottles to the local gas place. I bought a plasma cutter from them.

Folks are complaining about China. That pumpjack came from China and it appears to be very high quality.

OM, I agree with you. China has a very modern and high tect rail systems and etc. They manufacture items to the quality that the company gives them. Some are high and agree some are slow quality. Just like American made item some high and some low. They build to the spec you asked them to do.
