Thanks for the suggestion.. I'm going with one of the cheap China diesel heaters.. 8K unit.. 4 port out put..
It will heat up that cab like it's Florida.. ![]() I can use the built in tank or feed it from the main tank.. For the cost and ease of installing it, certainly hard to beat.. I can set the thermostat and just leave it.. With a unit that uses the radiator water the block heater would have to be left on all the time.. Something like this.. https://www.amazon.com/Diesel-Heater...jaz10cnVl&th=1

I agree the only thing worse than plowing on a grader at -20 F and no heat is plowing on a tractor without even a winterfront .

+1. I used to plow our 1/2 mile driveway, and the landlords place with a Harry Furgeson TO20 tractor, no cab, but at least the 3 point hitch snowblower was one that you drove forward with. Bad part of that was you tended to pack the snow down before blowing it. When I turned 17, I think I bought my first plow truck from a friends dad. A 1975 dodge power wagon. It was a great upgrade. My shop has zero heat,if its cold i watch youtube! Of course we wear shorts all year,so cold is 30 degrees to us. One of my customers tried a heater like you posted,i think it was too noisy or something (for a house on wheels),maybe not so much on a machine. |
