It is disconcerting to see some little smug twink gloating about saving the environment when the alternatives have no less an impact on the environment.
The impact is just somewhere else in the world.
What is particularly irksome is this smug twink is trying to force this on the consumer through "progressive" legislation, rather than letting the free market decide.
NIMBY
Just like the Germans. Shut down the nukes, shut down coal, and burn Russian hydrocarbons because we are green.
All these nations in Davos lockstep over green legislation are thoughtlessly destroying jobs and companies that helped develop these countries.
If the market decides, there would be a lot less foolish government decisions.

The cobalt and nickel are recycled, the Lithium is land-filled.
