You could tilt it, slide a 2x4 under with your foot.
tilt it the other way, repeat.
Now being 2" off the floor, repeat to slide the base under it.

Default Jet Drill Press

Hi Guys,
Smblock Steve here, Just got my JDP on the mobile base this week. I did a test lift and had to make some adjustments with the straps plus I took the base off and then tried again. I made a temp. base and took lag bolts to bolt it down and tied it to my work bench. Took the DP base out side and sprayed a coat of paint on it, had to let it dry for a fewer hours. Bolted the base to the mobile base then on to the drill press. It looks great and I like having the DP on wheels.

Thank You for all the info on doing this job, It's always better to have more than just one brain thinking.

Hey Guys,
Sorry it's taking so long to get back to you, We have had a very bad heat wave and I haven't been doing much out in the garage. I have some pics and I hope I can do this right.
