Default Air tool rack

Storage space is always a premium in the Magic Garage. I saw a couple of racks while surfing the net.
I plagiarized and combined the features I wanted.
My rack holds twelve tools, six up, and six down.
For the top holders, I had some old 1.250" vertical turbine pump shaft.
The holders are 1.190 in length. On the lathe, I drilled a #7 drill about 1.5" deep in the stock. then I drilled a 15/32" hole .875 deep. I then parted off the piece a little long. Repeated the process five more times.
I re chucked the pieces other end front. I faced off the the end, and tapped 1/4"x20TPI on each piece.
I used a piece of 1/8"x2"x2" aluminum angle that was in the scrap rack.
Laid it out. Milled six 5/16" slots, and drilled six 9/32 holes for the holders.
Fastened the holders on with 1/4"x20x1/2" socket head cap screws. I used fender washers for rigidity.
The air tool coupling slides in the 5/16" slots on the bottom. and sets in the 15/32"x7/8" holes in the holders on top.
I mounted in on the side of my tool cart.
Here's the photo's

Installed and full of air tools.

I like your use of 1-2-3 blocks as a drilling support. I keep my 'good' set for precise set ups, but my 'cheapo' set would be perfect for this.

Smooth, please read this excerpt from another thread where the subject of posting pictures was discussed just yesterday, among other things:

Quote:
About pictures - we do not use offsite hosting or imbedded images out of consideration for the country boys with dialup connections. Use the manage attachments function to upload to our server. This also keeps threads from being destroyed when users edit their image hosting services.

There is an approximate 100kb filesize limit per picture, again just to let the site run as fast as possible for all of us. You can attach up to 5 photos per post & they will appear as thumbnails until clicked. When someone with a slow connection clicks on a thread they don't have to wait for a bunch of big image files to download so they can read the text & click on the thumbs they elect to see.

I will remove any imbedded photos for the reasons listed above. Usually, I go to the trouble of saving, compressing and reposting them but it's at my option. I have 1643 such photos on my hard drive at the moment.

In cases where there isn't even any accompanying text or comment I may just remove them but that's about it. Oh yeah - on some occasions where a keyword is mis-spelled in a title we may correct it so that word will turn up in the search engine. All that falls under housekeeping, not "moderation". We ain't got any real moderators.

Looks good Jim. The only thing that would give me cause for concern is that the tools on the bottom with the air fittings facing up may get some shit (Cutter shouldn't have told us about shit) in the inlet and cause problems.

Maybe a piece of angle welded on with the leg over top of the fitting to cover it but with enough room to still be able to just grab the tool off the rack.
