Default new house and new Shop 48x100

So last year while on vacation with the wife. We were sitting in traffic she says "I want a new car" My reply was "hell no i want my big shop before you get anything else!" To her replying "ok lets do it" Shocked as i was with her response She then proceeds to ask "how are you gonna heat it?" So then a good bit of ideas were discussed as my little Shop at the time (24x48) in the winter with the lil fareheat heaters would make our electric bill over $500. Then she says What if we sold and Built a house and shop somewhere else and started over Fresh. Immediately i was against it until she brought so much clarity to the table. New house, new appliances, Natural Gas, Fresh Start and closer to my parents. So Talked with my parents and they were ecstatic that we were gonna build and live closer to them (grandkids ). We picked out a spot on the family farm and they sold us 2.5 acres. 1st the need to be some dirt work done, but before that the Peculation test. Then Go to town removing Trees and such. The plan was Borrow the money to build the shop move everything into the shop, put the house for sale, Sell the house and use the money off the house sale to start the new house until we run out of money then get with a bank and finish. Well that was short lived after the bank said they want to be in control from stat to finish on the house. The wife talked with 14 different contractors until we found the 1 we wanted. so dirt work was done and house was put up for sale no bites will Christmas eve boom were under contract with a sale contingency of them selling their house No problem. then Covid hits And the whole deal crumbles now back on the market and within 1 week with new realtor under contract again and sold as soon i got back from work.

I am assuming that you are presently living in a urban area.

This will be moving into a rural area away getting away from the various zoning and etc regulations which allows you more freedom in any thing that you want to do.

Good choice.
