Default Cutter's Anvil new home..

So, quite a while ago Cutter and I were talking and one thing led to the next and he ended up leaving me his anvil..

Markttu, contacted me after Cutters passing letting me know he left it to me..

Took a little while between covid and lives business..

It arrived unscathed and had the Hardie I made for Rod with it..

Big thanks to Markttu for getting it to me and it was well strapped to a board with side runners.. Wasn't going anywhere..

So, here are a few photos..

I'll use it as a bench anvil and forge anvil.. Perfect size for that type of work.

When it's my time I'll pass the anvil back to Cutters family..

I'll document what has happened and put a sealed cigar holder with note to the bottom of the anvil.. Would love to know the history of more items I have in the shop..

I forgot about the anvil, but I remember the hardie!

He was very proud of that Jen, and always talked highly of you. He drove by the days he got packages from just about anyone and shared the items he received.

It's cool that I've gotten to hold/see things from all over the place that landed in cutter's collection. While the electrons are what let us communicate, holding the physical items really adds a connection that you don't get online.

It's not often I am enthusiastic about forging and item to give to someone, let alone 2 items..

I was extremely happy to make both the fork and hardie for Cutter..

Some people just add to ones life for sure.. LOL..

So true.. Like books that you can't hold.. What is up with that..
