Default Up and Running

Were on our 4th shop since last June and hopefully this is the last move. Back to Milton where we know alot of folks.

2000 sq ft shop, and yard space and some twenty or so trucks and trailers park in the yard which I work on anyhow.

Also on high speed so I can now post some threads.

Economy is bad here, no one is spending and keeping costs as low as possible.

My heat and hydro bill for 28 days in December at that last shop was 4400.00, thats a good enough reason to go to a smaller shop eh.

It's good to be back online here and good to be settled finally in a shop that is in the area where I want to be and the right size and a yard that I can work with.

Seem to keep hearing about things being tough for folks around here with trucking and manufacturing too, but I'm still busy, though sometimes it doesn't take much. Last year the guys I've been digging with were shut down shortly after new years, this year, though we are scaled down, and 'part time' at times, we're still going. It's not 40 hours a week, but this week will be 3 days, weather pending, next week could be 4 or 5.

I'll have to see if I can work a trip and get down to meet you sometime, maybe this round you'll stay put long enough that we can set some sights on ya?

And I am certainly glad you made it back. I miss reading about your work, interesting stuff for sure!

Ontario, the main power supply company was called Ontario Hydro for years....so a lot of folks call electricity 'hydro' even though it's not quite true. Big Rig is referring to his electricity bill.

Dogs are doing very well, one is three and the other is approaching two years old, very happy and content. I usually leave them in the shop overnight as we are in our fifth wheel on the property, yard is muddy etc, besides they watch the shop as I need to install a lock on the door as there is not one there now.

Were just finishing up two big ones this week. Two frame rails on a Volvo and jack knife damages to the sleeper and the dump truck frame rail and box rebuild, just installing the saddle for the hyd cylinder today, we custom made one as we reworked the front under side of the box.

All my accounts and everyone I know is affected by the economy, fleets are fixing nothing and parking what they are not fixing. It's gonna be a tough year for sure.
