Neat site.. lots of info there..

Late to the party but the old Buffalo blowers were put together the same way with a drilled and tapped hole to lock the 2 gears together..

The 14.5 does not mesh right so am guessing it is 20 degree.

The searching has not resulted in finding a gear that will work for me. So I am going to braze up the missing tooth and file it down to make the tooth profile match the other teeth. I appreciate all the advice and offers for making a new gear for me. Now It just seems much simpler to repair the old gear and get the lathe back in working condition. I will post up the repair in a few days after I get it repaired. Thanks again to all here who have tried to help!!!

Got a break from antelope hunting today so brazed up the gear. Found some bronze brazing rod so used it as it is a little stronger than yellow brass. Seemed to bond well. Touchy getting the top portion brazed since it got hotter as I was brazing. First pics are the as brazed condition. Second two are after rough shaping the a 4 1/2 grinder with a zip disc. Next will be an hour or two of tedious filing with a triangular file. So far it looks good.

I put in 4 hole outlets in two places on each wall, plus a couple 2 holes on each wall too, even though I did not think I needed more than 2 hole around the shop. I may have to upgrade a couple 2 hole ones to 4 hole, as I am running out of holes.Hardle more than two used at one time, but I hate swapping cords

I mentioned it looked like I got a good bond with the brazing, but it is possible that may have been premature. Thanks for the encouragement.
