Default boring bars

Made adapters to be able to use my boring bars on the quick change tool post. now I can use 3/8" 1/2" 5/8" 3/4"and 15/16" bars

Looks nice. I have made a couple adapters for the same reason. Do you use gun blue for the adapters?

Works best when the part is very warm, even though the bottle says cold blue. I usually do 3 coats, with some 4/0 steel wool in between coats.

Dark sulfur based cutting oil is no longer the covering of choice??.............

It better be I got somewhere in the 11-14 gallon inventory, I tried giving some to Norm, apparently he feels a gallon was a life’s supply for him, and will not take any more. He won’t take any way oil either.......

Have you tried offering him grinding compound? that may speed up what the lack of oil will do
