Maybe trim them both at 45 degrees, and weld them together
to make a "corner anvil"....

that is actually a typical failure for an anvil..

The hardie hole being located right there and then being hit with a sledge on a cold day will snap the tail sections off..

You could mate them if the price was right..

I hate to bump an old thread but i have been forgetting to take pictures of an old broken anvil from my family’s property. The anvil has been on the front porch of our little “farmhouse “ since I was a kid. Luckily none of the waves of scrappers have found it yet. even though it is very beat up I think it is pretty cool.

I am not sure. Maybe seeing old beat-to-death topics on other forums. I am thankful in this instance Brian posted a screenshot of the original half anvil.

is a problem with them.
