Default Poor man's engine compressor

After lugging a heavy steel air tank all over my 300 acres for years, I started looking for a better way. My air needs out in the bush consists of inflating tires and blowing off parts.

Inflates to 100 psi in 3 minutes. Has plenty of volume for inflation and parts cleaning. 40 bucks with super coupon that the cashier found for me in line !!. Starts with no effort on the little 2 stroke 900 watt genny I already had.

You MUST run this unit with no load , open air output for 30 minutes prior to use to break it in.

Works better than I could have dreamed it would. It's the bom diggety. Works 100 times better than any battery box or 12 volt compressor I've ever seen. Weighs 15 pounds. Easy peasy.

I keep one just like that at the cabin. I have had it for 4 years or so. It works pretty good for lawnmower tires and such. I am not sure what my wife paid for it because it was a birthday gift.

They have a newer compressor that is even smaller with twin tanks that is a bad little dude as well not sure if it's available in all stores yet but online it is and cost just a tad over the little red pancake you have there and about half the weight too... Just an FYI for later if and when ya need to replace that one...

Oh, and it is a good idea to buy the extended warranty on their compressors that way when and if it has to be warrantied it's not a hard hit or leave a bad taste in your mouth as sometimes HF products can do... I own one to i forgot to mention but plan on the other one soon as even the little red ones get hard for me to carry around.

I plan on measuring the LRA on the 1/3 hp motor to determine what size inverter will start it. I'll mount one on the UTV and eliminate the generator. Startup current must be pretty low because the 2 stroke doesnt hesitate at startup.

Mike Check out BG for your inverter you can get one that will run a fridge for the cost of one elsewhere locally or HF.
I have found them where I get stuff, but where I buy some stuff like that is a bit more complicated in paperwork... better for most to look at BG and Amazon or eBay at china sold products.

This one should work fine..its only 12x6x3. This should work out pretty well and be pretty handy.

Try BG before you commit to that one I'm sure you can find the same one might have a different brand on it but yet the same and cost just might be a little cheaper...

It a bit like Amazon or eBay or geek tools... china made products some of which sold before rebranding.
some ship from places where the product is already in the U.S. some for places all around China... if it is coming from a US warehouse it takes sometimes a few days to a couple of weeks to arrive if it comes from China will take 4 to 6 weeks to arrive which is if your in no hurry it the savings pays off for the most part.
I fixing to post pics. Of some tools, I just got in from China suppliers.
well worth the wait. but I did not order from BG on these, were a direct supplier.
