Default One Ton Welding Cart

I bought a new mig welder with a dual gun set up last year, but I couldn't bring myself to pay $900+ for the cart miller sells with it. I've been trying to come up with some more storage in the shop as well so this is what I came up with. I built the drawer today, but the cart has been mostly done since last summer.

The toolbox on the top is from Menards. It is styled after a montezuma box but I'm not thrilled with it. You can't put ratcheting wrenches (gearwrench) on the pins because they overlap each other. The socket holders are ok but I need to put some labels on I can see without picking the sockets up. Overall it is still a handy addition to the shop.

The small parts bins keep all my contact tips and what not organized and there is still a lot of room I haven't used yet.

It holds both bottles, and has hangers for both guns. This welder has gun on demand so whichever gun I pick up and tap the trigger it reverts to the settings for that gun. I just have to remember to open the valve on the correct tank.

Underneath everything there is a large drawer I built out of 1/8" aluminum that is on super heavy duty drawer slides. All of my extra wire and welding rod fits in there, which is nice cause my wall cabinets are getting broken down.

I used the biggest casters menards had. They roll well enough on concrete but taking it off into the gravel is something I will only do in an emergency, it sucks trying to move it.

Drawer pics. Obviously still have a lot cleaning to do in the shop, but this is a baby step in the right direction

Cart looks good. Once you get it all finished, a quick rattle can of paint will put it over the edge looks wise. Just for aesthetics.

Paint is a bad word in my shop, I don't even like to paint for paying jobs. And the way I paint, not many people will pay for it
