I did a similar thing! My wife's dog tore some part of its ACL and couldn't go up and down the steps any more so I put one of my pallet stackers by the porch and turned it into a dog elevator. It wasn't a fan at first but adding outdoor carpet relieved his worries. The dog was about 100lbs or so and I was the only one that could carry it up the steps. The elevator made it easy on everyone. |

The elevator i have in mind will have a big deck. 4x8' of bigger,i want to be dang sure i can move funiture and other bulky items up to the deck of the house. Of course this may not ever happen,i had a deal working on selling some property and was going to use the money to build a house that we could rent as a vacation rental. People pay huge money to rent a house for a week at the beach. And we alreeady own the land for the project. The deal has cooled off some, but the guy wants the land bad, jhe's just a little underfunded at the moment. I have a set of stairs off of a big ship, they are the type that swing down from above. Stairs will be used the most, but getting food and stuff upstairs will be the elevators job. one day maybe... |

I think I use that forklift every single day. Used it this morning already welding new wind shrouds onto a large mower deck. Used the the forks to flip it upside down, and picked it up to a comfortable working height and welded away.
