Possibly a vehicle dash cam? It will not face the best detail, but might find a cheap one in Walmart. Get the biggest memory chip you can for it.

My Motorola G power(2021) (Android phone) claims to do time lapse photography - I've never tried it, but supposedly you can adjust the time between pics long enough to cover at least 8 hours (at nowhere NEAR the memory requirement as real-time)

They do recommend an adapter to use a tripod, but that'd be true of anything you used... Steve

Picked up a Kodak digital cam , it'll do 1 pic every 30sec. Should be interesting to see how it turns out!

Wow, that's a pretty steep property ... Steve (79 years experience as a smart-ass)

Seriously tho, should be plenty of detail for what you want...

They were back at it shortly after 6. I've got most of one wall skinned.

Aside from the roll up door needing to be replaced, it's completed! I only did some quick calculations but it looks like a 30x10x10 walled off room will take care of my tools, so I'll keep that temperature controlled.

The spray foam estimate was for $11,500, so that's out. What have you all done?

Looks like a have 100amp aluminum cable to use for my sub-panel(acsr?). Am I allowed to use aerial? There is a HUGE stump between the garage and pole barn and I'd rather not dick with conduit.

Yes I will be calling the inspector Monday.

I spoke to the inspector today. He didn't mind how it got to the polebarn as long as it was q2ft up. I never thought to ask, since this is a protected circuit does the weatherhead have to be above the roof? The polebarn at 14ft is taller than the garage that will be feeding it.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
