Some photos of when I actually got my iphone to work a couple of times.
Made great progress on the smoker for Dave. Smokin taught us the basics of making charcoal from wood chunks.

Managed to burn thru some wood on the bon fire. Got stuffed several times with good ol wood fired cooking and Smokin by resident chef Smokin, and Dave.

Very little steel warping was done this weekend, and the only unintentional fire was my coat.

Good times!

Default October 12-14, 2018 Midwest Git-together Thread.

Smokin helped feed my hoarding appetite. Bag full of reflectors, c-clamps, couple pipe threader dies, misc torch parts.

Picked up $30 of stuff at a rummage sale on way over. Click image for larger version

I don't really have much to add as far as pictures, but I will include one of the master operator at the helm precisely placing our project in place for it's inaugural burn. (You can almost see the concentration in his eyes).

Although I was a day late getting there, the company and hospitality was second to none. David and his better half were very gracious and as usual all were a pleasure to hang out with.

We enjoyed jawing over memories of past gtg's, discussing ideas for future ones, and many other topics of conversation. I'm not too much of a night owl anymore, but it is enjoyable to be in the company of enthusiastic like minded individuals where you can stay up til the wee hours of the morning and not be tired.

Thanks again to all for a fun weekend, I always look forward to our gtg's!Click image for larger version

It was a team effort filling that fire that last time Saturday night. Gotta say it was a serious bon Fire when you just dump buckets of fire wood on it directly from the tractor.

Thanks for the extinguishers. Hung them up tonight in the shop. I hope never to use them though.Click image for larger version

It was a blast and a half. Been busy since I returned home trying to wrap up loose ends before my weather matches Dave’s weather. I’m all for having another GTG in Wisconsin. Just not October-may thank you.

Pictures I took in no particular order
