Default Trailer Ramp

Since the old ramp decided to run away from home, I picked up some steel in Cheyenne to make a new ramp. Ran the 2x2x1/4 and 2x2x1/8 angle through the saw to length and tacked everything in place. Welded it all up with 3/32 7018 at 130 amps. Old ramp pic and new one all welded up. Used the air needle scaler to knock off the slag. Much easier than pecking at it. Have to wait a few days for the wind to subside to shoot some rust reformer paint on it.

Nice. Better put some chains on it to keep it on the trailer now!

I did come up with a pin system. Got all the parts cut but then the temps went from 65F down to 40F in about 30 minutes so it sits waiting to get welded after the snow melts off.

Finally got the ramp lock pins done. Drilled a few holes and welded on a couple tabs and shot some paint on them. Hoping this fix will prevent another ramp running away from home.

Sorry for the pics. From my phone. Waiting for the new camera to arrive.

Default Trailer Ramp

Easier to rotate pics in new reply from my phone.

Looks like it should work. Did you make a spot to put keeper pin as soon as you remove it so it does not get lost?

Milo I had hoped if I followed you long enough I could get a matched pair of ramps . Now you went and ruined that thought .
