Maybe I missed, it but what are you doing for the last cleaning step to get it back to a bright copper color?

To clean the firescale off I dunk them in a "pickle" solution. To make the pickle I use 3 tablespoons of PH reducer for pools disolved in about a gallon of water. The main ingredient is sodium Bisulfate. The pickle is warmed in an old ceramic crock pot. This just makes it work faster. it will work cold just takes longer.

If I want it to be really shiny I will buff it with 0000 steel wool.
