Humina humina humina.

Slick looking car! My brother had a regal with the turbo v6 in the late eighties/early nineties. Only had to put four engines in that car.

And it wasn't in as good if shape as the one your working on!

Ought to be a really neat build. Thanks for the pics.

AHYUP, if you do it right, it puts a fuzzy edge on the tunnel vision, caused by the launch...

In my rail, if you forget to place your helmet back against the pad on the cage, the launch feels like somebody whacked you in the back of the head, with a 2 X 4. A couple of seconds later, when the 14 foot cruciform parachute opens, you pull 2.5 to 3 G's, negative, (that's the part that's hard on the retina's)

(we only do this, over and over again, 'cause it FUN, Right?)

Hey Jack, what's happened with the mighty Oldsmobile in the last 6 months?

Very little, Dr Fish, the owner of the car, had a triple by-pass in December and is just now starting to come around. I was up there on Wednesday, the plan is to still get it out this year. We shall see, there is a lot to be done.

Glad they got him fixed.

I've been thinking maybe I should make some changes to my eating habits.

Tell him we're all pulling for him and we're sorta anxious to see some rubber smoke.

I want to know how bad ass an engine man you have to be to called "doctor". If he has a phd a that is one thing but.......

I'm always interested in nicknames. At the shop the is a retired fella that stops by and all anyone knows him by is "Greasy".

Tell the good doctor we are rooting for a speedy recovery!

My youngest knows an old baseball scout known only as "Handlebars". At work over the years we have had Noodle, Gravy, Reverend, Eddie Munster, Hog Head, Ace, Stumpy, Doc, Champ, Big Rawl, Square Head, Tense Tom, Hammer Head, The Blonde Bomber, and so on.

thanks for sharing the thread, I miss the old G-body's..., I miss that we dont build cars anymore... (RWD USA cars that is)

One of the first cars I spent time behind the the wheel was an 1983 Cultass Calias, it was the sport package for the cutlass that year, not be confused with the "Calias" that came several years later, that was the same car as a fwd "grand am".

The Calias, had bucket seats, sport wheels, center console, sport steering wheel, actual instrumentation, and a really anemic 307 V8. At the time, the car was brand new, It was my dads, but he would let me use it on the weekends to "get in trouble with". That would be going on dates, parties and the like. It was silver, with a blue interior, was a nice looking car.
