Default Question about Fluke 73III Multimeter

I have a fluke 73 III that I have not used in a long time, trying to do a continuity test with no luck.
I have the instruction sheet but it is of little use to me, I can check AC,& DC voltage and it works like it should.
When I turn it to the continuity test setting I get a .OL reading on the bar graph but no beeper( May jest be me) when I touch the probs together the bar graph still shows .OL reading.
My question is could there be a fuse or something that needs replaced?
Or do I need to send it back to Fluke ?
Thanks for the help

There is a small fuse inside that you can test. There should also be a diode test mode that I think is the next setting. I will check my 73 in the electronics room in the am.

Could be possible that the battery is dying, but has enough power for the screen, but not to send the test current for continuity testing?

I'm just guessing.
