Default Vise grip mods

I once saw somewhere some small pieces of angle welded to flat bar i think to allow c-clamp vice grips a better hold on round or angled surfaces.
Does anyone have a pic of these?

Yeap...I got some pics on here. Although I don't know how to repost them.
Call up Cutter and see if he can do it. If not, I'll go post some new ones.

I have 2 pair like that. 1" angle welded to the pliers' jaws.

Also , larger C clamps can be modded similarly.

The pieces I saw weren't welded to the vise grips but just acted as a resting point so that they could get a secure grip on odd shapes.

Slag,

I'd love to see the pics of your vise grip attachments!

I'd be happy to post them for you. Could you email them to me?

Here's a set of vise-grips that I put together out of necessity a few years ago. There weren't any pipe clamps on the job, but I had this set of vise-grips that expanded, so I cut some angle iron, and welded the pieces to the jaws. They will hold 6" pipe, as long as there is not too much of a bind.

I fond them. I searched under....."pipe clamps". It's about 5 or 6 down the line. It's titled "pipe Clamps" with my name as author.
If I knew how, I would have posted a link, but I don't know how. Anyone that knows how can do it for me....thank you.
Tom
