Default anyone done a model boiler and steam engine project?

Seen some on the web, and looking to do one myself. Anyone made one from plans.

Your going to start something here. lol

I did a search awhile back for the cold rainy days here in La. I found several suppliers of kits (of a sort), with plans and most of the block materials to be used in the machining. The machining from the plans look straight forward and look to be basic machining 101. Having access to a small lathe and mill would be a must for some of those little beasts tho.

If I find the disk I saved the info on, I'll post back. Don't hold your breath, being single I'm not much on filing and finding.

plus these guys talk about all the rules and such dealing with boilers. very good site. i like the small steam models which are a lot of work.
also on the threads, click on any links and it will lead to other websites which are handy.

i'm not preachin but this is one hobby that you can not go cheap on and there are no short cuts

Sure there are short cuts, and they all can become a short cut to the nearest graveyard.
