Default Miller Pro 230 Mig welder????

Fellas,
I was planning on buying a MM210 here real soon. Just as soon as I can find where to get it for $1171 and change, as ShadeTree suggested.
I happened to run across a brand new Miller Pro 230 Mig welder today, for around $1500 I think it was.
It seemed to have the same specs as the MM210 does.

Is this just the older version of the MM210??

My local welding shop HAD the 210 on sale last week for $1209 (but I'd have to pay tax), and now that sale is over. (guy working last week failed to tell me it was the sale price, so I JUST found out it was a sale, and not the regular price)
Anyhow, they are now back up to around $1400! Can't afford that.

Will have to find out where to get it for best price, as I really need to save all I can here...
Thanks guys.

Paul,

The Miller Pro 230 , is just a renamed MM 210 for the Auto Arc line that Miller also makes.

Kind of like Hobart I presume?? I hear Hobarts are a little bit lower quality than the Millers...

If I remember right, they use a few of the Hobart units in the Auto Arc line up. Between the Miller and Hobart MIG units, the Miller units are the higher quality built units. A few of the Miller and Hobart stick and TIG units are the same machine with a different paint job.

Shade,
SWEET.... Much appreciated. I'm not in an extreme hurry, so we'll see what happens.
Thanks,
Paul C

Just what the heck is going on here, Shade?
Do you have some sort of a secret mailing LIST?

Not secret just classified, on a need to know basis, and you don't need to know.

Need to know lists are also definite no-no's.
