1/4 in aint bad. I've had some studs warp so bad its like they want to crawl back to the lumber yard.

You can add horizontal blocking to straighten them up.

Soffits are open but there's no ridge vent. I'm thinking it's because I don't have insulation or climate control.

I’m here to say metal moves too. Yesterday I made a steel bushing for a press in fit of .001” of a inch. But I measured it in the lathe while it was still warm, and it just fell in the hole when I parted it off. good thing it was being welded in on both sides.

All studs will have a "curve" to them. Excessive curved stock should be left at the building supply. Ideally, you would have installed the studs with the curves oriented the same way and maybe you did...

This weekend I replaced the 12/2 line running the work lights in my shop.

I bought 2-2-4 aluminum wire online from Home Depot. We t and picked up the 500 foot spool. Noticed it looked a little large but maybe that's what I ordered.

Got out to my shop.and had 150 feet unrolled off the spool before I noticed I had 4/0-4/0-2/0 aluminum.

I'm about 30 miles away from Home Depot so I just went with it. I have it feeding a 100 amp 6 space panel in my shop. Off of it I have one security light installed on my temporary wall where the door will go and a 4" box with two outlets. Then another breaker feeds a 4" box with two outlets. Then a 20 amp 240 line to run my radial arm saw and a 50 amp line to run my welder.

This feeder is from a breaker at the meter. It's a 200 amp.panel with pass through lugs. I have the wire running from the lugs. Temporary setup and beats the hell out of running my "3500" watt generator.

The lights in the shop have never been this bright running off the generator and my air compressor will now restart with air in the tank like it should.

From the meeter to the shop it's about a 300 foot run. Yes it wasn't inspected. I know it should be a 4 wire feed.

Put in a ground rod for the panel . Some towns require panel ground to be tied to floor rebar .Most towns allow 3 wire with a separate panel ground .

Framed out the closet for my bedroom loft.

Charged the batteries for the D8. Haven't ran it in almost a year. Fired right up but the fuel system lost its prime from sitting and it quit before it was able to build fuel pressure.
