Default Copper shaft

I found a copper shaft in one of my local used parts supply depots. I picked it up and racked it with some other shafts.

I looked in the book and it is expensive. They didn't even offer the size I picked up.

My question is, what is it good for? Will it work in place of brass for a bushing? I cut a piece off the end and made a non spark hammer but it must have more suitable uses. It is 2" X3' no marks or holes or anything.
You do the best you can with what you've got.
