Just saw this. Here's my late 2 cents. Personally I don't like sparks and flammable anything. With that said, I would look into making your anchor point on a clamp setup. Weld whatever design you decide onto the clamp then clamp it on. Then it is also movable if you decide that its not in the right place.

Finally got around to getting this tank filled up with gasoline.

It was great placing it back up on its perch using the shop crane and the new lifting points.
