Default generic micrometer box?

I have 3 pc 1-3 set of mics. not all that great but they are US made and accurate enough for the hack jobs I do. They presently live in a tupperware box. Does some company make a wooden box to put them in. Or is there some alternative for safe storage?

If you won't be moving them often what you have them in is fine. Get some felt for them to lay on and add some moth balls. Old machinist trick to prevent rust. I keep them in all my tool boxes.

On the other hand this is a good excuse to buy a new Kennedy machinists tool box. Get a big one so you will have room for future purchases..

Brown & Sharpe, Starrett & Mitutoyo offer replacement boxes for their sets. Take a stiff drink & sit down before looking at the price

Empty mike boxes often are listed on eBay, though none are listed today. Pretty cheap, around $10-$20.

They're easy and fairly quick to make, if you go that route. Most are made from 1/4" hardwood plywood, with internal framing made of solid hardwood.

Cavalry,
When no one is looking, sneak into your local craftstore. Them may have some cheap little wooden boxes that may fit your needs -- so I've heard.
