Default Medieval gates

Part of this design was inspired by Tom Joyce. The client saw his gates in a book and really liked them. They weigh about 125 lbs each.

Default Baby Gate?

The baby that lives in that house must be plenty strong. Son of a football player maybe? David

Yep! The client is a cop and into the Medieval thing. Swords, etc. I am making him iron switch plates for his lights and a three foot fire breathing Gargoyle for his backyard. Believe it or not, these gates are to keep his dogs out of his family room while he is at work. They are lag bolted to studs in six places each side with 1/4 x 2 x1/2 bolts. They are not going anywhere. I build it on a jig and the gates were hanging on thin sheet metal screws. I figured I would build it on a weaker structure than it would be mounted. This is the first one I have put inside. The install took three hours but was a piece of cake.

They would have needed Mig, Tig, and Arc for this one. Well, I still made about 50 rivets functional rivets for this gate.
