Default Another "it followed me home, Ma" project

Remember when I was accosted by a 'gator? well, it happened again.

This poor lost soul whimpered her way into the ARGADC shop yesterday, looking for a home. Normally, I could have resisted. Then I saw the license plate, this one is street legal, (here in Florida, anyway) So a short time later, I traded a short stack of dead president's portraits for the title... she had a new home and a warm place to curl up.

What else could a bald, overfed, creeping curmudgeon like me need, as a ready made excuse to hit the swamp. (oughta work pretty good for scarin' the snowbirds, too. When I get the gun mounts in)

I'm still lookin' for an appropriate name.

She isn't very well housebroken though, 2 big oil spots and a small lake of brake fluid in her bed this morning. (Oh well, that's what you get when you adopt a teenager, lol)

Sand Buggies are like go carts, on steroids, WAY too much fun to drive, and get 35-40 MPG in the bargain. Bein' an old roadster kid at heart, this one is sure to be another chapter in my third, or is it fourth, childhood...

Awesome find. I still have one of those on my wish list. I grew up in the sand dunes until about the age where I was really old enough to enjoy them at 8. Mom and Dad had pics of them jumping their buggy in the hills of Glamis about 4 months before I showed up in the world. Sorta our first family pic

I am strangely attracted to that vehicle.

And it doesn't even have pedals!
