Well, I’ve made a mistake. The smaller rotary isn’t actually a rotary table. It’s considered a ‘simple indexer’. As is, it indexes easily every 15degrees.

The more I look at this ‘simple indexer’ the more I like it. It has close to a 2” hole thru the chuck and table/indexer, so putting flats, squares or hexes on things will be a breeze with it.

I’m thinking that it may end up mounted at the right side of the mill table a lot of the time, and then offset the vise to the left a little, and call it a day.

Search the net for "Super spacer" should have a way to change index plates (from two slot (180deg) plates and up) most are for fast indexing in a production shop, almost fool proof indexing....

I got most/all(?) of the plates with it. I think there are 5 loose plates, and I think there’s one in it for the 15deg increments. It seems like there are 6 available, so it’s possible I’m missing one. Looks like 3 cap screws to take off underneath, and the plates swap out. The three jaw for it is nice too with the fact it has the two piece, reversible jaws.
