I enjoy Bre's content, not only because I'm a perv, but she's a competent small engine mechanic and I am most definitely not. I was using the canned shit for quite a while mostly because I don't use a lot of it and it's convenient. I've started mixing my own again.

I use the canned fuel in all my chainsaws. it does cost a lot more than pump gas but the saws will run when I need them to. Ever since ethanol came on the scene at the pump I've fought the saws to get them to run. Usually pour out the old fuel and mix a fresh batch. The canned fuel seems to age much better. They may not run as well but at least they start and run on canned fuel.

I've got one gas station in town that sell E0. They get a $1-$1.50 premium over the ethanol crap. I run that in all my small engines and tractors. I just wish I could get non Bio diesel fuel in my area but its not available.

Two cycle engines were all I used for flying my model planes for 40 years....the 35cc - 62cc gas burners (Quadra, Zenoah, and any brand stripped from junk saws). I always used my own mix of regular gas and Stihl 2 cyl, oil (50-1). I've never had trouble getting them to run, and I've never used a pre-mix gas in my life. The same juice went into my chain saws of all sizes too.
