Like I say, only just getting to a point where it's not going to crap completely. I was wondering what the two identical but handed tools were for

got this set as a starter because HSS should be more forgiving for a newb.


Must read the lathe book again now.



@arizonian yeah the only way to set height is shims. Because the compound is so tall you really can't use a QCTP on it either as there'd be no room for the underside of the tool holder. But my turning aspirations are minor for now so this is fine.
