Default Sockets needed?

I'm trying to make my tool box more complete. I bought this Craftsman tool kit and chest set back in 1989 when I started auto body school. I'm completely happy with it except that I noticed I'm missing a few sockets that I've found I need. Specifically I think I'm missing like a 17mm and a 20mm or something like that. Yes I could just go buy those couple missing sockets I need, but I think I might reorganize my layout a bit. This organization has been working fine for the past 34 years (The sockets are being held on with those cheap chrome clip strip things) but I'm running out of room and I think I might go with the Montezuma style layout instead. I could build that setup myself and it seems like it might be a more efficient way of storage.

This is what I "think" would make a very complete set:
=================================================

1/4" DRIVE

1.(10) 1/4" drive SAE 6 point 5/32"-1/2"
2.(10) 1/4" drive SAE 12 point 5/32"-1/2"
3.(10) 1/4" drive SAE 6 point deep 5/32"-1/2"
4.(10) 1/4" drive SAE 12 point deep 5/32"-1/2"

5.(8) 1/4" drive MM 6 point 4mm-13mm
6.(8) 1/4" drive MM 12 point 4mm-13mm
7.(8) 1/4" drive MM 6 point deep 4mm-13mm
8.(8) 1/4" drive MM 12 point deep 4mm-13mm

=================================================

3/8" DRIVE

9. (8) 3/8" drive SAE 6 point 3/8"-13/16"
10.(8) 3/8" drive SAE 12 point 3/8"-13/16"
11.(8) 3/8" drive SAE 6 point deep 3/8"-13/16"
12.(8) 3/8" drive SAE 12 point deep 3/8"-13/16"

13.(11) 3/8" drive MM 6 point 9mm-19mm
14.(11) 3/8" drive MM 12 point 9mm-19mm
15.(11) 3/8" drive MM 6 point deep 9mm-19mm
16.(11) 3/8" drive MM 12 point deep 9mm-19mm

=================================================

1/2" DRIVE

17.(7) 1/2" drive SAE 6 point 7/16"-13/16"
18.(7) 1/2" drive SAE 12 point 7/16"-13/16"
19.(7) 1/2" drive SAE 6 point deep 7/16"-13/16"
20.(7) 1/2" drive SAE 12 point deep 7/16"-13/16"

21.(13) 1/2" drive MM 6 point 10mm-22mm
22.(13) 1/2" drive MM 12 point 10mm-22mm
23.(13) 1/2" drive MM 6 point deep 10mm-22mm
24.(13) 1/2" drive MM 12 point deep 10mm-22mm

=================================================

IMPACT

25.(7) 1/2" drive SAE 6 point IMPACT 7/16"-13/16"
26.(7) 1/2" drive SAE 12 point IMPACT 7/16"-13/16"
27.(7) 1/2" drive SAE 6 point deep IMPACT 7/16"-13/16"
28.(7) 1/2" drive SAE 12 point deep IMPACT 7/16"-13/16"

29.13) 1/2" drive MM 6 point IMPACT 10mm-22mm
30.(13) 1/2" drive MM 12 point IMPACT 10mm-22mmm
31.(13) 1/2" drive MM 6 point deep IMPACT 10mm-22mm
32.(13) 1/2" drive MM 12 point deep IMPACT 10mm-22mm

=================================================

Of course I'm not talking about adapters, u-joints, allen, torx, ratchets, extensions, etc... just sockets.
I think that I could get away with skipping everything in orange. I mean do I really need 12 point sockets? I get that you run into those oddball square, 6pt or 12pt bolt heads but I think I've had to remove them maybe twice in my 52 years. Also I think I could just get away with just using all deep well impact sockets, no short ones. That would save more than half the storage space.
What are your thoughts?

Also curious your thoughts on the montezuma style tool boxes.

Here's what I have (red is metric):

I just used a side winder 1/4" ratchet like you have laying in your box to change a valve spool on a Bobcat, have had it for years and this was the first time I used it but it was sure handy.

Yeah I use it every once in a while. I don't have an air or electric ratchet yet so I'll break it loose with a standard ratchet, then use the side winder to spin it off if it's in a tight spot. Well worth the 15 bucks or whatever it cost me years ago.

I have 1/2 drive up to 1-5/16". Many of those will be "close" for metric size although I have big metric as well. I also have 30mm and 36mm deep for axle nuts.

Yeah I didn’t count the axle nut sockets but you can see them in the pic. I’m not concerned about specialty sockets or tools, just wondering if I really need 12 points?

But yeah, I think I’ll up my impact socket set up a bit.

IF I were starting out and had to buy 6pt OR 12pt sets, I would buy 6pt with fine-tooth ratchets. Project Farm on gootoob did a decent comparo of ratchets recently. There have been times when I had to buy an individual 12pt socket for a 12pt nut...
