![]() My shop mwave turntable stopped rotating recently. The "aim" of the micro wave is not directly centered so it tended to cook on one side and the food would have to be rotated halfway through cooking. So it had to be repaired out of convenience. This oven was a "scratch and dent" we never used at the house so off to the shop it went. As it was purchased cheaply: ($30?) it needed a turntable roller and glass plate, both for under $20 from debay. The over-the-range model has a fan and light unlike countertop models. Curious what went wrong, I removed the glass and rollers and tipped the mwave up on its side. 10 screws to remove the bottom cover. One connector to disconnect the light/motor harness from the inside bottom of the mwave. The motor connector had unknown holes for releasing off the spade of the motor and I tore one out before I realized how they were attached. ![]() ![]() I used the number off the back of the motor to get a replacement ordered. The used turntable motor was $12 shipped, also from debay. I took the old motor apart after prying/chiseling the cover tabs off--it is NOT made to be serviced... ![]() ![]() Replacement motor was nearly identical aside from slightly smaller tabs, a silicone gasket and plastic drive cog. And almost 10yrs newer. I would venture a guess the same company has produced millions or maybe a billion of these motors. The turntable works fine now! I broke it in with a bag of broccoli. ![]()

There you go again upsetting the manufacturer’s. We are supposed to be a throw away society these days so we can keep people working to sell us more stuff every year.
![]() Nice repair, by the way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sure, but now your table is revolving at only 5 times per minute rather than 6.
