I take a lot of things for granted in my work shop and home shop compared to those work conditions.
Couple take aways that I seen ( maybe not the first time, but reminds me of a trick) Using a piece of flat stock to make a bigger wrench fit a smaller bolt. I couldn’t imagine working in a shop in in short shoes and no socks. I think I seen one guy in sandals. ![]() I really like my overhead crane over my work lathe for the bigger items. I small piece of wire/ hay strand can be good enough for indicating some work pieces. We don’t necessarily need to make things overly complicated/ or expensive tools needed to get the job done. Sometimes you just need a bigger hammer. And sometimes just a scrap drop piece will do the job. And arbors are normal being bent and only having 2-3, teeth doing the cutting on a horizontal mill. Just like my old job shop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So basic, few tools, they are interesting, center the work part in the lathe chuck.
No indicator just a BFH, hand-verified, armature & field rebuilds, broken in half cranks, gear cutting are a trip also. Without gloves ........... LMAO ![]()
