6 inch + stroke on the ram. Rotary table is 10 inches..
Similar to this machine.. It was bought new out of Portland in 1978 and was from the current owners business partner . They did a lot of work for Winchester back in the day.. It's smooth as a get out,and very quiet too. It's Taiwan made, and really high quality.Think along the lines of a Victor lathe/ etc.. Found some more specs looks like without the chuck it weighs 1653 lbs.. So pushing over 1800 lb pretty easy. Very compact and I thought it was less weight then that.. Single phase Motor in this one.. http://www.innochamp.com.my/index.ph...ducts_id=50875

A vertical shaper? I never seen one. I don’t need one, but if I came across one, it would be on my trailer too.

Index slotter but vertical shaper is probably correct too? Of the trailer and into the shop. Used my lift to get it off the trailer.Fits perfect, and i can still get a full size truck up on the lift ![]()

Is that a CINCINNATI 2MI horizontal milling machine?
I have a 2MI vertical at work. It is a beast. I was telling the boss if I could find a 90 degree head for it, then I could do more work in house instead of out sourcing it. We just had to send a 6” diameter chrome plated rod out to have 6 holes drilled and tapped one end to hold the piston onto it for a big Caterpillar 977 loader (I think) being 5’ long, I didn’t have a good way to do that. Sad part is, it has protective cardboard sleeve being shipped out in a wooden box. Coming back in, they did not put the cardboard back on, and we found several scratches and dings in the rod, looks maybe from rolling in the box. It should be ok, but we are not happy about it. Anyways, I found a mill similar to yours on EBAy with an index table for about $4500, and the boss shot me down saying we do not have the room for it. I was hopeful for a bit.
